Clients Rob and Mona loved this idea of the “Workhorse kitchen” which is designed to be a step away from the main kitchen. Kitchens demand a lot of function, but this can come at the expense of a light and simple clean aesthetic. No one wants to look at the dirty dishes, or do they want to see the large appliances. The workhorse kitchen gets to do the heavy lifting with the functional tasks and allows the front end kitchen to be simple, beautiful and scaled to not dominate the adjacent dining/living spaces. In this blog post on Instagram, Rob and Mona show how this workhorse kitchen works for them.
