This project focused on the careful restoration of a Victorian home with the integration of a new open plan kitchen-dining to the older Victorian house via a spine wall.
A new large open plan kitchen-dining space is designed with equal proportions allowing the room to become a general living and entertaining space. The spine wall provides tall integrated storage in the kitchen and dining areas and re-focuses back to the natural focal points of island and dining table with views through the large Victorian windows into the garden.
Sho-sugi-ban (black timber) oak finish to doors and white marble worktops work together with spray finished doors on island for a contemporary light filled space with the warmth of colour from a brass island frame.
