This project included the full width extension of a semi-detached home with the integration of a new open plan kitchen-dining.
A new large open plan kitchen-dining space is designed as a general living and entertaining space. The dining area is linked to the kitchen via timber beams that filter and diffuse the overhead light. The main kitchen wall was planned carefully to conceal all the main functions and to bring forward a simple clean rhythm of the wood panels and doors. Large fridge and ovens located in adjacent “back kitchen” that is only one step away. Other concealed functions include pull-out larder, pull-out small appliance station with sockets cleverly concealed. All functions are met as required and concealed back to maintain a clean kitchen aesthetic leaving on display only the important objects of flowers and a fruit bowl.
Walnut stained finish to doors and pink marble worktops give colour to a contemporary light filled space.
